Soludo’s Road Revolution Opens Up Orumba Communities, Cuts Travel Time to 15 Minutes


Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has earned commendation for completing the 16.4-kilometre Nawfija–Ajali–Ufuma–Ogbunka Road, a project described as a major catalyst for economic growth, tourism and agricultural development in Orumba South Local Government Area.

Vice President of Boardwalk Group and Abuja-based real estate developer, Chief Mrs. Obiageli Okwubanego, who spoke with journalists in Abuja, said the road has transformed transportation within the axis and reduced travel time to Awka from hours to about 15 minutes.

She noted that the project has also provided an alternative route that eases traffic congestion during festive periods, while opening up farming and tourism communities long neglected by previous administrations.

Soludo Completes 16.4km Anambra Road, Residents Hail Economic Impact

Residents and stakeholders in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State have praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo following the completion of the Nawfija–Ajali–Ufuma–Ogbunka Road project.
The Vice President of Boardwalk Group, Chief Mrs. Obiageli Okwubanego, said the road had reduced travel time to Awka to 15 minutes and boosted access to farming and tourism communities.
Speaking in Abuja on Wednesday, she said the road project was conceived after she appealed to Soludo during her mother’s burial over the deplorable state of the route.
She added that the project would improve economic activities, especially palm oil production and tourism around the Oji Stream area.
