2027: NYA Unveils 186 LGA Coordinators, Flags Off Mass Youth Mobilization Across North-west
The Youth President of the National Youth Alliance (NYA), Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, has formally and graciously announced the appointment of one hundred and eighty-six (186) Local Government Coordinators across the North-West geopolitical zone of Nigeria.
This landmark development represents a significant milestone in the NYA’s strategic expansion and grassroots consolidation, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive youth participation, leadership development, and political awakening across the region.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, the Youth President congratulated the newly appointed coordinators and charged them with the historic responsibility of deepening youth engagement at the ward level.
He specifically directed all coordinators to immediately commence the nomination and appointment of coordinators across the 1,330 wards within the North-West region, ensuring full grassroots penetration and effective organizational structure.
Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas emphasized that the appointments are not ceremonial, but strategic, calling on the coordinators to demonstrate discipline, integrity, unity of purpose, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of youth empowerment, good governance, and national transformation.
He further reiterated that the National Youth Alliance remains resolute in its vision to mobilize young Nigerians beyond political apathy, providing them with a credible platform to participate meaningfully in leadership, policy advocacy, and nation-building as the country moves steadily toward the 2027 general elections.
The NYA leadership expressed confidence that the newly inaugurated Local Government Coordinators will rise to the challenge and serve as effective ambassadors of the movement, fostering peace, inclusion, and constructive political engagement across communities.
